They can because their are very small particles that are thrown and oyhers factors such as rain will break its particles more easily and wind will unplace it from its location

wind can erode all the sides of rock to create the various types of geographical features.

Explanation:

  • Wind can erode rocks by very soft results in the formation of mushroom or pedestal rock. The process is called “weathering” where water, wind, and sunlight break rocks to form soil over a long period.
  • However, if we only take a case where a rock is to be eroded by wind alone, then also the wind can erode rocks ( it may take more time than natural weathering).
  • The sole act of wind eroding rocks is named wind abrasion, in which wind carries small particles with it as it blows and hits the rocks surface with it, over time, rocks start to erode and disintegrate into smaller pieces as the process continuous. This is most commonly seen in deserts and arid regions of the world.
