Wings of bats and other birds may vary in size or mass whereas bats are mammals and birds are exceptions. mammals like bats have skinny wings as their bodies are not so heavy whereas birds like kites and bustards are heavy. Birds usually migrate to longer places but bats don't, they just settle in the place where the availability of food and shelter is sufficient.
