Answer:
Clay taught us about loyalty. Throughout the book series, he constantly put his life at risk to save his friend's lives. He saved Glory from getting killed by Kestrel, he saved Starflight,Sunny and Fatespeaker from the dragonbite viper, he saved Peril from going completely insane the rest of her life, and he saved Tsunami from falling to death (or at least getting really hurt). When he found out about his siblings, he had a choice to join them and be their bigwings, but Clay chose to stay loyal and be by his friend's side. He did these things because his friends were his family, and he'd look out for them because he's their bigwings. Clay taught us to always look out for the ones you love, but he also taught us that friends are family.
Tsunami taught us about courage. Throughout book 1, she was always brave and stubborn. She'd do things that Clay and the others wouldn't even dream of doing. She always took charge and knew what was to be a leader. But in book 2, she started to realize that her braveness and stubbornness sometimes can go too far and hurt her friends. Her leadership skills started to break down, and her friends wouldn't listen to her. So she learned a lesson. She took a courageous leap and stepped down from being a leader and taking risks. Tsunami taught us that sometimes the greatest courage is to step down from being brave.
