wire and rub it using a sandpaper you can see a bright metallic lustre, within a few days it gets tarnished why does it happen?​

Explanation:

deposits of material in some metals when exposed in air causes them to lose their Luster . when we rub it with sand paper this layer sheds and a new fresh shiny layer comes.
