side = 6 cm
perimeter = 4 × side = 24 cm
perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square = 2 × (l + b)
24 = 2 × (l + b)
b = 2 cm
l = 12 - 2 = 10 cm
Area of rectangle = l × b = 10 × 2 = 20 sq. cm
