Answer:

Effect of change of temperature on matter: On increasing the temperature of solids, the kinetic energy of the particles increases. Due to the increase in kinetic energy, the particles start vibrating with greater speed. The energy supplied by heat overcomes the forces of attraction between the particles.

Answer:

As the temperature of a solid, liquid or gas increases, the particles move more rapidly. As the temperature falls, the particles slow down. If a liquid is cooled sufficiently, it forms a solid

Explanation:

Temperature has a direct effect on whether a substance exists as a solid, liquid or gas. Generally, increasing the temperature turns solids into liquids and liquids into gases; reducing it turns gases into liquids and liquids into solids.

HERE'S ONE ACTIVITY TO PROOF

Effect of increase of temperature on ice:

Experiment ::

Materials required = A burner, Ice cubes, Beaker.

Activity =

1. Put the ice cubes inside the beaker.

2. Place the beaker on the burner.

3. Let the burner heat the beaker for some time.

Observation - After letting the burner to heat the beaker for some time, you'll notice that ice melts to water. This is because the heat increases the kinetic energy of the particles which led to a increase in their inter particle spaces and also a decrease in inter particle forces of attraction due do which the particles move more rapidly converting to liquid.

(Now continuing the activity)

4. When all the ice melts to water let the beaker still get the heat.

Observation = The water slowly changes to vapours. This is because the heat increases the kinetic energy of the particles of the water which led to a increase in their inter particle spaces and also a decrease in inter particle forces of attraction due do which the particles move more rapidly converting to vapours.

This experiment illustrate the effect of change in temperature in ice.

FIRST PICTURE I FOR THE ACTIVITY AND THE SECOND ONE IS FOR THE DIAGRAM
