The size of the human heart is little bit bigger than one’s fist and it is situated safely between rib cage bones.
It is slightly on the left side of the chest.
It is responsible for the blood flow to the entire body.
Heart pumps pure blood to various parts of the body and then takes back the de-oxygenated blood from those parts and sends it to lungs for oxygenation.
As shown in the diagram, the heart contains various parts like arteries, veins, ventricles, valves, vena cava and aorta.
They all have their unique functions to perform
