An activity to show that plants cannot manufacture their food without the help of chlorophyll..
Explanation:
- We have to take two of the plants. In one of the leaf we have to remove the chlorophyll by adding it into boiling water. and in the other leaf we will do no such changes. Both the leaves are kept in the sunlight and adequate amount of water is applied to both of them. We wait for photosynthesis to take place.
- we see that the leaf which has no chlorophyll will show negative starch test.
