Impact of Colonialism on the lives of the colonised people

Explanation:

  • Colonialism have left a deeper impact on the lives of the people. Socially colonialism is beneficial for the people . It  brought to an end of the social evils in the society. The  British Government abolished the Sati , Child marriage,introduction of Widow Remarriage, changed the caste system.

The changes which have been brought by the British was not liked by the Orthodox Hindus.

  • When the British Government was established in the 18th century India had a flourishing trade. The British Government ruined the basic economic structure.Indian age old agricultural system was replaced by the commercial agriculture. Indian textiles industries were closed due to the competition with British cheap and good cheap machine made goods.
