Distance: the length of the entire path, or the length of the distance traveled. Displacement: the most direct length between A and B. For example, if you hike up a mountain and you travel a curvy path 100 units, that is your distance.

The length of the path travelled is known as Distance.

For example : you drive a motorcycle for 30 km north and 21 km west. So, the total distance covered by you is 51 km.

\huge\bold{\displaystyle \rm\green{→Displacement}}

Displacement is the distance between where the object started and where it ended up.

For example : you drive a car in a circular track and started from point A. You took 2 rounds of the circular track and came back to A point. That means you have not done displacement because you came back to the same point from where you started and hence, the displacement is 0 in the following case.
