→ Distance :
- The length of the path travelled is known as Distance.
- For example : you drive a motorcycle for 30 km north and 21 km west. So, the total distance covered by you is 51 km.
→ Displacement :
- Displacement is the distance between where the object started and where it ended up.
- For example : you drive a car in a circular track and started from point A. You took 2 rounds of the circular track and came back to A point. That means you have not done displacement because you came back to the same point from where you started and hence, the displacement is 0 in the following case.
