Efficiency =(Output Power/Input Power)*100
Where Output Power = Density * Gravitational Acceleration * Flow Rate * Head
And Input Power = (2 * PI * Rotational Speed * Torque)/60
Pump efficiency increases with the increase in flow rate upto B.E.P. (Generally Duty Point). After duty point the efficiency again decreases as Cavitation occurs at “Over Load” condition.
