With most of the Xerox machines, you can reduce or enlarge your original by entering a percentage for the copy. Reshma wanted to enlarge a 2 cm by 4 cm drawing. She set the Xerox machine for 150% and copied her drawing. What will be the dimensions of the copy of the drawing be?

length of drawing= 2 cm

width of drawing= 4 cm

Since, she wants to enlarge her drawing by 150% hence the length and breath of drawing will get enlarge.

Hence, the length of drawing after enlargements =2 cm x 150%

                                                                                =2\times \dfrac{150}{100}\\=2\times 1.5\\=3\ cm

the width of drawing after enlargements=4 cm x 150%

                                                                                =4\times \dfrac{150}{100}\\=4\times 1.5\\=6\ cm

Hence,the measurements of drawing after enlargement=3\ cm\times6\ cm
