Answer:

Newtons first law of motion: an object in motion (or stationary) will tend to stay I motion (or stationary) until it is acted upon by an outside force

Explanation:

If a force has been exerted on an object, and the object starts to move it should stay in motion unless an outer force acts upon it

but because of air resistance, gravity and friction which slows down a body here on earth the object will start to decrease in velocity and later stop

same to a stationary object, it is doomed to stay there unless acted upon by an outside force and begins to be in motion

It is known as the law of inertia

If there is no force to keep the object in motion even while facing resistance the object will decrease in velocity and stop
