The reasons for the decline of the caste system in India are as follows

Modern liberal learning proposed into the nation by the British has performed a significant role in weakening the significance of caste in cultural life.

2.Industrialization:

The method of industrialization has changed the class construction to an extraordinary amount. Industrial growth has produced new beginnings of resources to people and made functional movement potential.

3.Urbanization:

Industrialization has provided rise to the method of urbanization. New towns have developed. The rural people transfer to these cities in order to avail better professional possibilities.

4.Modern centers of transport and communication:

Modern centers of transport and communication are effective in improving the spatial movement of the children and throughput an end to the caste system. Means of transportation like train, van, tram, airplane etc. cannot afford for differences within castes, and a leveling influence has been produced into society.

5.Increase in the importance of wealth:

Under the caste system, birth was practiced as the foundation of social influence. But today, money has replaced birth as the basis of social influence. Occupations are now no higher caste-based. People while preferring their professions attach prominent attention to income rather than anything else.
