2. It is so because North India is mostly occupied by the plains.

Vast level of plain land making convinent to set up.

3. Mumbai, Kandla , JNPT , Manglore, Cochin and Mormguo are the west coasts ports of India.

The east coasts ports in India are Chennai , Tuticorin , Vishakhapatnam , Paradip , Kolkata and Ennore.
