Inter latitude space remains constant, it is inter longitude space that does not remain constant because of variation in thickness of earth at poles and Equator is different.

a.Longitudes are known as meridians because in Geographical sense, meridians are great circles which are not parallel to each other but intersect each other at the North and the South Poles. Same stands true of the longitudes. All longitudes are great circles which meet at the Poles.

b.Inter latitude space remains constant, it is inter longitude space that does remain constant because of variation in thickness of earth at poles and Equator is different. Latitude is a coordinate that is used to tell how far a point is from the north or from the south on the surface of the Earth.
