Conquest of Gujarat: Alauddin sent an army to annex the state of Gujarat. It was during the annexation of Gujarat that MalikKafur, a slave, was brought for 1000 dinars. He rose to the position of a general in the army. He later played a prominent role in the invasion of Bengal and Deccan.

Conquest of Rajput states: Alauddin invaded and captured Ranthambore and Chittor. The Rajput women performed jauhar and burnt themselves to death in order to avoid dishonour in the hands of the enemy. Later, Ujjain, Mandu, Dhar and Chanderi in Malwa were also conquered. Hence, by 1305, Alauddin had conquered the whole of North India.
