With reference to the poem - 'The cold within' there were six humans who, trapped by happenstance in bleak and bitter cold sat together in front of a bonfire with a log in each one's hand held tight
the bonfire was in immediate need of logs to keep the fire burning but among those people none of them were ready to sacrifice their own log to save the others.
the wind blew out the fire and they all died not due the cold outside but due to the coldness in their heart within...
