With reference to the poem, The child's bargain was the best. It is becasue the king said that he would hire the poet with his power.  But his power counted for nothing. An old man hired the poet with his money but the coins were worthless.  The fair maid hired the poet with a beautiful smile but her smile paled and melted into tears. Finally he met with a child. He said that I hire you with nothing. The poet agreed because he found that in the child's offer he had happiness and freedom which he didn't found in all the rest three people's offer.

In the heat of the mid-day the poet was wandering along the street. An old man came with his bag of gold. He wanted to hire the poet with his money, but for the poet his gold coins were worthless. So he went away.  It was evening now. The garden hedges were full of flowers. The fair made came out and offered to hire the poet with a smile, but her smile paled and bursted into tears. So she went back alone in the darkness.
