The society was divided into for division :-

Brahmans: - Those who performed the yajna, studied the Vedas and imparted education were called brahmans.

Kshatriyas:- The kshatriyas were the warriors who fought wars and defended the country.

The Vaishyas: - Vaishyas worked as farmers, traders, merchants and Craftsmen.

Shudras:- Shudras were the manual workers who served the first  three upper classes and mainly did physical labor.
