With regard to germination in Bean Seed answer the following question:

(b)cotlyedon: The cotyledons contain (or in the case of gymnosperms and monocotyledons, have access to) the stored food reserves of the seed. As these reserves are used up, the cotyledons may turn green and begin photosynthesis, or may wither as the first true leaves take over food production for the seedling.

micropyle:Functions of micropyle: (i) When soaked in water, the seeds absorb water mainly through the micropyle and make it available to the embryo for germination.

(d)The bean seed absorbs water through the micropyle and becomes turgid resulting in breaking of the testa. The radical emerges out and grows downwards to form the roots system. The arched hypocotyl grows straight upward making the cotyledons emerge out of the soil thus making it an epigeal type of germination.
