a) Functions of micropyle: (i) When soaked in water, the seeds absorb water mainly through the micropyle and make it available to the embryo for germination. (ii) It helps in diffusion of respiratory gases for the growing embryo.

c)Endosperm ( in endospermic plant) and cotyledones (in non endospermic planto provides nutrition for the growing seedling
