1 portia says that her decision to marry someone is not guided exclusively by his physical apperance but by the will of her father.

2 she says these words because accordind to will of his father who chooses the right casket would vow her so she is not left eith any choice to marry someone on basis of outward apperance.

she assures him that he stands as good chance to vow her as others.

3He bost of his healthy red blood ,his valour in war and the love which many womenof his country have for him.and continues to boast the slaying of King of Persia and defeating sultan of turkey in three batles.

4According to him fortume can favour someone less powerful so he is in doubt whether he will be able to vow Portia

5 portia warns him that if he will choose wrong casket then he will never marry anyone in his life and leave the place without saying anything.They leave for dinner after which he will go to try his luck..
