With so much technology developed in computers , why we can not delete an email sent to a wrong address in the recipient inbox from the senders email, before or after it reaches the recipient?

If someone threatens another person via email than the victim could have proof that he was threatened, else culprit can delete his crime. This is just a simple example & theee are many other technicalities involved in y sender don't have power to delete emails.
