Drama is the written form of a play and theatre is where the play is enacted.
How
it helps in language development. When
drama is read in the class, the correct pronunciation and intonation is taught
by the teacher. The meaning also is
taught. This mode of teaching is always
enjoyed by the students.
When drama is enacted on the stage/theatre, it helps the students to memorise the script and enact it with expressions. When there is expression, there will be difference in voice modulation. It will also teach them different cultures and behaviour of the people, the writing taste of the author, etc., Shakespeare’s drama can be taken as an example
