There are three sectors in the economy of a country Primary sector, Secondary sector and Tertiary sector. These three sectors are interdependent on each other in one way or the other. For example Sugarcane

1) Primary Sector: It involves the growing of sugarcane in the fields and then harvesting them. Basically, agricultural activities come under the Primary Sector.

2) Secondary sector: This sector involves the manufacturing part like making different products from sugarcane. Products like jaggery, sugar, etc. are manufactured from Sugarcane and are involved in the secondary sector.

3) Tertiary sector: This sector involves the transportation of manufactured material and also the primary material, i.e., sugarcane.
