Followings are the functions of seed coat, micropyle, cotyledon:

a. Seed coat – Seed is enclosed in a protective layer which is called a seed coat.

b. Micropyle – It is a narrow pore formed by the projection of integuments. It marks the point where the pollen tube enters the ovule at the time of fertilization.

c. Cotyledon – It is used to store the starchy food and proteins for the embryo.
