Firstly the food gets mixed with salivary amylase which is an enzyme present at saliva. Salivary amylase breaks down starch and then food goes towards stomach through food pipe. Food moves there by peristaltic movement by sphincter cells. Food now mix with HCL acid present in stomach for killing of bacteria present at mouth. Mucus helps the stomach for protecting the inner linning of stomach. HCL acid also active pepsin enzyme which synthesis proteins. It is also present at mouth. Bile juice present at liver help to synthesis the fat molecules

We eat food so journey of food starts from the mouth. Food comes out into the food pipe, which takes food to the stomach. stomach squeezes the  food and makes it very soft by mixing different juices . Food comes into small intestine from stomach. Here more juices are added and food is broken down more. Now the food can be used by the body. Waste food goes to large intestine. Water from the food is absorbed here. Solid waste passes through anus.
