The ammonium chloride can be separated from the mixture of ammonium chloride and salt by the process of sublimation. It is the process where the solid directly converts to gas ( or vice versa) without coming in liquid state. When we will apply this process to the mixture of ammonium chloride and salt, then ammonium chloride will directly change to gas and will get solidified on the walls of the funnel as it is the sublime, whereas, the salt will not sublimate, and it will remain in the china dish, where the mixture of ammonium chloride and salt is kept.
