With the help of a diagram explain how rotation of earth causes Day and Night?

The earth take 24hours to complete 1 rotation. The day and night are caused due to earth's rotation on its axis. when 1/2 of the earth is facing towards the sun, thn it is day and the 1/2 part opposite to the sun then it is night.

Explanation:

The Earth spins on its own axis and revolves around the Sun.When one side faces Earth then the another face is away from the Sun.

The side that faces Sunlight,show Day while the another side which is away from Sun and on the cooler side and is on the darker side,results in Night.
