Answer:
A LIQUID EXERTS PRESSURE AT THE BOTTOM OF ITS CONTAINER :
take a balloon and tie it at the lower end of a glass tube and hold vertically as in fig (a) pour some water in the tube , balloon bulges our as in
(b) Because water column exerts pressure (∴ liquid has weight at its bottom . force on balloon is equal to the weight of Thrust water column which is called the thrust P = Thrust / Area
This shows that a liquid exerts pressure at the bottom of the container in which it is kept.

Aim:
To prove that liquid exerts pressure.
Materials required:
football, pin, water
Procedure:
1. Take a football and using a sharp pin, make a small hole in it. 2. Fill water through that hole, till it is completely filled. 3. Now make some more holes on the other sides of the ball. 4. Squeeze the ball. What do you observe?
Observations:
You will observe that water comes out of all the holes with the same a speed. This proves that a liquid exerts pressure in all directions.
