Given:

Ray is incident on the pole of a spherical mirror at an angle of 45°.

To draw:

The reflected ray with the help of a ray diagram.

Solution:

The incident ray and the reflected ray would follow the laws of reflection ;

The angle of incidence will be equal to the angle of reflection.

\angle i=\angle r∠i=∠r

The incident ray, normal and the reflected ray would lie on the same plane.

Following these rules , the reflected ray will also be directed at an angle of 45° with the principal axis.
