Answer:

Endosmosis:

Put a raisin (kishmish) in water, we see that after a certain period it has swollen due endosmosis. Because the water is hypotonic solution. Hence water moved from area of higher concentration to area of lower concentration i.e water moved into the raisin.

Exosmosis:

Put the same swollen raisin in a concentrated sugar solution. We see that after some time the raisin shrinks. It is because sugar sol is hypertonic sol. Hence water inside the raisin moved from higher concentration to lower concentration i.e water came out of raisin.

Hope this answer helps u.

Answer:

This process is called endosmosis. If these swollen raisins are now kept in a concentrated salt or sugar solution (a hypertonic solution), water from the turgid raisins will come out of the cells and they will shrink. This process is called exosmosis. ... After putting raisins in hypotonic solution the raisins swells up.
