with the help of an activity, explain the method of inducing electric current
coil with a moving magnet. State the rule used to find the direction of
electric current thus generated in the coil.
e circular coils P and Q are kept close to each other, of which coil P carries
current. What will you observe in Q?
(i) If current in the coil P is changed?
c) If both the coils are moved in the same direction with the same speed?
Give reason.

Answer:

Activity:When the coil is in the influence of moving magnet I.e, in the magnetic field, some of the magnetic lines of the force will pass through the coil. These magnetic lines of the force induce current in the coil (According to Faraday's law).

Stretch the thumb , middle finger and the forefinger of your hand mutually perpendicular to each other such that your forefinger represents magnetic field, middle finger represents current and your thumb in the direction of force .

Current will be induce

in coil Q
