Aim: To show that air occupies space.

Procedure:

Place and lower an inverted glass tumbler in a glass beaker which is half filled with water.Now tilt the tumbler.

You will notice that the air gets displaced and gas bubbles start coming out.

This proves that ‘air occupies space’.

Conclusion:

Thus, it is concluded that air occupies space
