a trait of an organism caused by change in its been or DNA is called inheritance trade trade on the traits which we receive from our parents are inherited traits acquired trait of an organism is a trait which develops in response to environment. Acquired traits are due to changes in the life style, injury, loss of body parts, disuse of some body parts. These are the traits which occur in the somatic cells. Changes in the somatic cells are not passed on to the offspring belonging to next generation. Hence acquired traits cannot be passed on to next generation.

Here's your answer......

acquired traits are those which are developed in the organism during their life time these traits are because of non _reproductive tissue and cannot be passed to next generation

inherited traits are those which are because of reproductive tissue and can be passed to next generations

The physical appearance such as the eye color hair color and height etc are the inherited traits. These are passed on by the parents to the off spring

While the features or characteristics that are learnt or copied by observing someone are the acquired traits such as clothing style, speaking style etc
