There are 3 ranges along the width of the himalayas, himadri, himachal, and shivaliks.

These three moyntain ranges vary in sizes as the himadri range has the tallest mountains, followed by himachal and then shivaliks with the small hill-like mountains. Himadri and himachal are usually very cold and uninhabitable,(though there lives a healthy amount of our population in these ranges) and the shivaliks are usually more full with flaura and fauna

These, along with many other diverse features alongside the width show the varities in the width of the himalayas.
