✴With the help of an example, show the effect of temperature on the particles of matter.
⭕Temperature of a particle is responsible for its state of matter.
⭕If the temperature of any matter would be high, then the kinetic energy in the particles of that matter will also be high.
⭕If there will be more kinetic energy, then the particles of matter would start vibrating faster and faster.
⭕Due to their continuously vibration, the particles will move far to each other. Hence, the state of the matter will change.
⭕We can take the example of ice. When we start heating ice, it's particles will move far from each other due to vibrations produced. Those vibrations are produced because of increase of kinetic energy in it. If the particles will spread, then the state will be changed from ice to water.

Answer:To show that matter is particulate (made up of particles), simply use the Gold Foil experiment Rutherford performed. Rutherford shot alpha particles which either shot straight through the gold foil (as most did) or bounced back/changed direction (as only a few did). His experiment showed that all matter is composed of electrons/protons and eventually led up to the discovery of neutrons. He also developed the nuclear model of the atom which you can also use to support the fact that matter is made up of particles. (subatomic particles - atoms - molecules - compounds - mixtures ... etc).
