Take two burning candles. Name them Candle 1 and Candle 2. Now, take a inverted glass jar and placed in on candle 1 properly so that it covers the whole candle. Leave the candle 2 burning in open air. Now, You will observe that Candle 1 will stop burning after sometime , Whereas , Candle 2 will be burning continuously. Hence, It is proved that air is necessary for burning of a candle.
