Reflex arc is the pathway followed by the nerve impulse to generate a reflex action. It includes receptor, affector or sensory nerve, nerve centre, motor or effector nerve and effector organ like muscles
Sneezing occurs when a foreign particle irritant irritates the nasal passage. The sequence of events that take place during sneezing are as follows:-

1-  Nerve endings located in the nasal passage identifies the irritant entered in the nose

Receptor sends the information or nerve impulse to the sneezing centre located in brain stem

2-   Brain stem in return sends instructions to the lungs or diaphragm for response

3- Diaphragm moves abruptly, chest muscles contract in response to the instructions received
4- Air blows out from nose and mouth instantly and rapidly

5-  Sneezing occurs in response to the irritant
