With the help of examples describe cohesiveness and conformity
Answers
Answer:
If you're referring to group cohesiveness it would refer to the bonding/linking of members of a social group to one another and to the group overall. This bond pulls people towards membership in a specific group and resists separation. For example, one may join a support group when going through a hard time and feel connected to and safe in that group of people. Similarity is also an important factor. For example, in a support group filled with persons battling Depression persons may feel more connected compared to if it was filled with people suffering from varied illnesses since they can relate.
Explanation: Conformity would refer to the act of matching beliefs, attitudes and behaviours to the "norms" situated in a group. This can be seen everyday in society as many of us try conform to society's standards. It basically refers to the "need to fit in." We conform to feel accepted and desired by other persons around us. Sometimes this includes copying behaviours we see, looking to others on how to behave or act...just simply doing what is "expected" of us. For the sake of cohesiveness, we as humans are driven to conform/fit in.
