They recycle matter by breaking down the organic remains and waste products of plants and animals. These recycled matter are washed up and enter the soil from where plants absorb the nutrients again. Thus, the decomposers play a very important role in the recycling of nutrients.

Answer: Decomposers like bacteria and fungi play an important role in cycling of materials.

Bacteria and fungi play a major role in decomposing the dead plant and animals.

The elements that we get after decomposing are reused by the soil as manure to develop new life.

The first process is breaking down of the dead materials into smaller particles. Then bacteria and fungi act on them in different ways to convert them into rich nutrients.
