The hydrological cycle is described below :

The most important in this cycle is the Sun. Light from the sun heats up the water bodies like ponds, rivers, oceans, lakes, etc.

After getting heated up, the water from these bodies starts evaporating in the form of water vapours into the atmosphere.

As the vapours goes on rising, they keep on cooling. Due to the effect of cooling, water vapour gets condensed and forms clouds.

These clouds, when becomes heavy, falls down as precipitation. This way the cycle continues.
