Answer
Acquired Traits:
1. These are not inherited instead they gets developed in the response of surrounding environment.
2. These traits are not genetical and therefore cannot be passed to the future generation.
Example of acquired trait is:
1. When a beetle starves due to lack of food, it looses its weight. This trait is acquired one.
2. Cut tail of mouse.
Acquired traits are not passed to next generation because they are not genetical and are developed in response to the surrounding environment.
Answer:
The traits which are acquired during the lifetime of a person are called acquired traits. These traits involve changes in non-reproductive cells (somatic cells) which are not transferred to germ cells. So, these traits cannot be passed on to the next generation.
