Once upon a time their lived an old peasant named John. He owned three acres of field. He was a hardworking and dedicated person in his work as well as towards his responsibilities. He had four sons> Unlike John, his sons were very lazy and idle. One day the peasant was informed by his doctor that his illness will take a tide on him in few days. John was devasted. Despite having four young and healthy sons he was the only bread winner of his family. He was also worried about their future. He called his sons on a fine evening and said there is a treasure hidden in the field. He also said that to find it they must dig the whole field. The very next day John passed away. After his funeral, his lazy sons thought of finding the treasure so that they can live their whole life without working. So they decided to dug every bit of the field to find the treasure. But all efforts were on vain when they understood that the field did not bear any treasure. Angry and dismayed, they then decided to sow some corn. After few months, they discovered that the fertile field has gifted them with numerous corns. The four sons realized what their father wanted to teach them which he couldn't teach when he was alive. The four brothers hugged and cried in joy and reaped the fruit of their hard work.
Moral of the story : Hard work betrays none whereas laziness makes a person worthless.
