With the increase in the fuel prices, the price of consumer products increases
because oil is an essential component of the industrial and the manufacturing
sectors, also petrol and diesel is used for the transportation of goods, thus creating an inflationary pressure. There are two statements which based on petrol and
CNG gas, given below.
Statement 1: Every six months, price of petrol increases at the rate of Rs 4 per liter.
Taking price of petrol in December, 2011 as x and present price of petrol as y.
Statement II: Due to continuous rise in the petrol price, people are shifting towards
CNG whose price increases at the rate of Rs 2 per liter in a year.
So give answer of the question by reading the above the statements.
According to second statement, form a linear equation taking price of GNG
in December 2011 as a and in December 2012 as b.
a. b = a - 3 b. a = b - 3 c. b = a + 3 d. 2b = a + 3
