I am writing to your good self to express my views on the ‘Digital India Movement’ launched and given impetus in our country by the P.M. of India. India is the largest democracy in the world; naturally, to run the most populated democracy, faster execution of government policies and planning, a robust digital system is required. So digital India drive aims to provide the basic digital infrastructure such as, broadband highways, universal access to mobile connectivity, e-commerce, e- governance, and participation of the people in government's policy making and enjoying the services and facilities offered by government through internet.
The Digital India campaign has digitized almost everything. All the Government departments using digital technology to provide services and facilities to people. Cylinder booking, applying for passport, bill payments, bank transactions, complaints, follow up, online shopping, etc. have become a normal feature of Indian economy and way of life. This boom in digital world has given rise to thousands of employment opportunities to people.
In order to achieve the goals set in Digital India drive, the Government must set up basic infrastructure to produce digital devices, gadgets, etc., in order to make the campaign successful. India, like China must set up factories and manufacturing units to produce mobiles, LEDs, TVs, computers, laptops, tabs, speakers, batteries, and all the related accessories required to bring about digital revolution. The people must also contribute in setting up the infrastructure to create base for the Digital India drive. Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I appeal to the concerned authorities and the people to initiative in making this campaign further successful. Thanking you.
