With the wind, an airplane travels 1120 km in seven hours. Against the wind, it takes eight hours. Find the rate of the plane in still air and the velocity of the wind.

V0 + W = 1120 / 7 = 160

V0 - W = 1120 / 8 = 140

2 V0 = 300  adding equations       V0 = 150 km/hr

150 + W = 160

W = 10 km/hr
