Technological advancement is at an all-time high today and it goes on and on with each new development and innovation. These strides in development have been possible through research in the fields of science and medicine. We have had such research and advancements in other fields too like literature, art, music etc.

How much have we researched on wildlife? Have we found solutions for animal rights, their living conditions, their care and their sustenance? Not as much as it should have been done, else we would be not be feeling the fear of extinction of some species. Though the consciousness of such threat and the need for improvement in animal care is felt and done, the threat still looms large.
Not only the wildlife but the wilderness need protection and sustenance. Even winged beings and marine life need lot of attention and care. The problem of animal care has to be studied both locally and globally. This is a global threat and needs immediate attention.

So the need of the hour is Animal Care activisties and activists on both domestic and global scale. This is as much an environmental issue as pollution, global warming etc. as animals help keep the ecological balance of nature. Animal care and sustenance is as much needed as our own sustenance. Also their muteness further emphasises the humane touch. We have to study and understand the underlying needs related to animal care and act prudently on it.
Animal care activists should be encouraged to function properly and meaningfully by giving legal recognition to their organisation and to them personally. Once they are legally recognised, activists should be trained to function professionally to orient the public. Public should be made to realise that all living beings are entitled to fair treatment and a right to lead a dignified life.
